  • I (Heart)!THE BOOK CLUB // KITES // ERIC NESS // INVASION OF...19:30PM - 01:30AM

    I(HEART) MUSIC PROMOTIONS...Present: I(HEART)..LIVE!

    Tuesday 3rd August, Proud Camden
    ...
THE BOOK CLUB // KITES // ERIC NESS // INVASION OF...

Cult South London night, I (Heart), return to the legendary Proud Camden with a rare line-up of alumni from some of Britain's biggest indie bands

On Tuesday 3rd August, Proud Camden's revamped stables will host the exclusive showcase of new projects from The Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things and Milburn. For one night only, I (Heart) will give music-lovers and fans of indie behemoths the chance to get up-close-and-personal with some of their hero's with the highly anticipated debut of their new bands The Invasion Of and The Book Club.

Having already earned an envious reputation in the music industry as an ex-Libertine and Dirty Pretty Thing, Gary Powell continues his musical triumph with a performance at Proud Camden. Powell's time in the industry has earned him a string of titles including Best New Band from NME and MTV2 with Dirty Pretty Things, and a wealth of critical approval and notoriority from his time in The Libertines as Pete Doherty's right-hand-man - not to mention supporting everyone from The Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Pet Shop Boys. Born out of the demise of Dirty Pretty Things, Powell's new 5-piece band The Invasion Of will kick the evening off with their eclectic mix of rock n' roll. Fans of Powell's former bands will not be disappointed with what promises to be a spectacular debut.

Continuing this impressive start is Camden-based Musician Eric Ness. Brilliantly fusing glam jazz, pop, and swing the Norwegian born singer/songwriter and his 7-piece band are well-known for whipping crowds into a dancing frenzy. His live shows are somewhat of a spectacle, including wildly sexy back-up singers - one who alternates between playing flute and belting out riffs, and a plethora of instruments from double bass to mandolins. Expect hints of jazz, swing, and big band from this unusual act.

Joining the mix is a band described as bridging the gap between Joy Division and Donna Summer - The Kites.

Headlining this spectacular night are indie new kids on the block The Book Club, founded by Joe Carnall of infamous Sheffield indie rock band Milburn. Carnall's success includes touring with big brothers The Arctic Monkeys and signing an exclusive deal with Mercury Records. After taking time away from Milburn, Carnall has kept it in the family and gathered his cousins to produce what has fast become a popular beat combo. Carnall fans can expect to hear the familiar voice and melody from his Millburn days but with a new edge.

To top off this rare line-up of live acts with floor-filling DJ sets is the hugely entertaining I (Heart) and Don't Wait Animate DJ's.

Following recently completed refurbishment, the Proud venue itself is now even more fitting for I (Heart)'s new night. Contrasting sharply to Proud's previous look, the South gallery, main gig room, stables area and brand new terraced café have undergone extreme renovation and redesign to dramatically change the Proud Camden experience. With guests such as Amy Winehouse, Jarvis Cocker and Mumford & Sons adorning the new venue earlier this month, I (Heart)'s new night promises to add even more music VIP names to the new Proud
    Camden.

BRINGING YOU FOUR AMAZING ACTS AND A SELECTION OF DJS FOR OUT BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA......

    LINE UP IS AS FOLLOWS

    THE CHAMPMAN FAMILY
The Chapman Family are an alternative indie-rock band from the north east of England who merge intensity with chaos encouraging comparisons with Joy Division and Sonic Youth. They aim to provide a distortion fuelled antidote in a musical climate big on apathy and lacking in integrity. They are dark and noisy and according to the NME in the UK make "music to change your life, if you're that way inclined."

    http://www.myspace.com/thechapmanfamily

    HOT CLUB DE PARIS
Hot Club de Paris went on a rampage; they shot up the border guards, hijacked a horse and cart and galloped down the fault line leaving the peasants on the dirt road confused and breathless. They took their shirts off and shrugged in the silence of brand new bloodshed. They danced cheek to cheek with all the pretty girls of the day. They were gentlemen; aloof and serious, camp and devious. They swung for Judas on the red carpet at the awards ceremony. The paparazzi blinded the bystanders with their flash bulbs, whilst Hot Club de Paris slipped into the darknes of the city leaving someone else to figure out the whole contextual mess.

STARMAN is a UK based pop band which brings colour and fun to your ears! Consisting of 5 talented musicians Andrew Stone (lead singer), Luka Cadez (Drummer), Jesus Ruiz (Guitarist), Mickey Cowdroy, (Bassist) and Craig Custance (Keyboard) all of which are from different ethnic backgrounds and even countries, this band will certainly bring a smile to your face! It stands without question that Starman is definitely the one to watch out for in 2010.

With infectious melodies, catchy hooks and high energy this is one band you don't want to miss! The band was formed in June 2009 by lead singer and dance teacher from Pineapple Andrew Stone and 21 year old music entrepreneur Robert Davies, director of Click Records Entertainment.

Starman have been catapulted to fame on Sky1's smash hit documentary series "Pineapple Dance Studios" which currently draws in over 1.5 million viewers a week.
Starry-eyed fans have watched the band's epic battle to break into the music and entertainment industry on the cult show - they are also doing the same thing in real life.

Led by the charismatic and sometimes controversial front man Andrew Stone, a successful dance teacher at Pineapple, the band are poised to hit the big time with gigs all over the country this summer including: T4 on the Beach, and Party in the Park, and more!

    Raise The RoofShanakee, Breadstealers + Andy Sharrocks19:30PM - 01:30AM

A shaken up version of the original, this is Raise the Roof part 2. Again, all proceeds will be going towards the Ganets Adventure School in Malawi appeal, helping to get this great project up and running again after the Malawi government closed them down due to lack of facilities.

This time, I've moved the venue 5 minutes up the road to Stables Market, the buzzing heart of Camden Town, and the Proud Galleries, recent hosts to Amy Winehouse and Jarvis Cocker.

After their storming set at the Purple Turtle, Shanakee will be back, along with newcomers the Breadstealers, a recent discovery I came across in an Irish boozer down the road and really impressed.

The headliners are to be confirmed as both my first and second choices have prior commitments and so I'll let you know when I know.

A BBQ will be going on where you can sit and people watch as Camden goes about its business beneath your feet and there are two well stocked bars, I'll post a link to the venue.

    Geek OutNight Bus + Philadelphia Grand Jury19:30PM - 01:30AM

Summer 2010 sees the launch of a brave new era in dancing, a new kind of night. GEEK OUT! sees the freaks and outsiders take the power back from the hipsters and the prom queens on their own stamping ground of Camden.

Every second and fourth Wednesday in the South Gallery at the world famous Proud Camden, GEEK OUT! is a celebration of dork music through the ages, from Buddy Holly to 'Buddy Holly'. But this is no closed-shop party, everyone is invited to don their spectacles and get their geek on.

The brainchild of music journalists Daniel Martin, Hamish MacBain and Mark Beaumont, the songs at GEEK OUT! come from across the ages and from any genre. Ranging from the girl groups of the 1950s, new wave classics from Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson, outsider indie anthems from Pulp and Ash, geek icons They Might Be Giants and The B-52s through Beastie Boys floor-fillers to modern lonely-on-the-dancefloor classics from Robyn - the only guarantee is that you're likely to hear a Weezer song every half hour. It all adds up to fantasy world of high school dreams, sci-fi B-movies, classic C86 indie clubs and the greatest prom night of your life, every two weeks. The geeks are taking over a corner of Camden, before going for the world.

GEEK OUT! also programmes a white-hot bill of new bands, guest DJs and secret special guests. Playing the launch night are The Siegfried Sassoon. This Surrey five-piece play an infectious blend of post-pop, all the breakneck guitars, gameboy bleeps and songs that never go where you expect them to. Their debut EP 'I Galactico' / 'The Al Gore Rhythm' has already won plaudits from Artrocker, Rockfeedback and Contactmusic, making them one of the rising stars of the vibrant Kingston indie scene around Banquet Records.

GEEK OUT! launches on Wednesday July 28 at Proud Camden, South Gallery. 8pm-1am. £3 entry / £2 for those wearing glasses or prom dresses (girls or boys)

    FORTHCOMING GEEK OUT! NIGHTS FEATURE:

    AUGUST 11

    PHILADELPHIA GRAND JURY Live

    AUGUST 25
    ALLO DARLIN' Live

HAYMAN from HEFNER/THE FRENCH/THE SECONDARY MODERN spins his favourite tunes, and brilliant new folk pop combo ALLO DARLIN play live - a must have for us since one of their songs already incorporates a chunk of 'El Scorcho'!

ZOOLOGYDead Models, Antlered Man, Lion Tops, Killed by Coyotes19:30PM - 00:30AM

    'ZOOLOGY' at Proud Camden.

    Everybody loves animals.

Camden is full of prominent animal-related things, from the giant lion mural near Camden Lock, the cheetah mural near the Roundhouse, all the horse statues in the Stables Market and of course London zoo is close by too.

Animals are everywhere in this part of London. So this new clubnight at Proud's South Gallery on the third Sunday of the month, pays tribute to animals.

We'll have bands with animal-related names, songs with animal-themed title, free entry to anyone who dresses up as an animal, animal face-painting, animal biscuits, jungle décor, pictures of animals, projected movies featuring animals and as many other animal based surprises as we can think up.

And don't worry, we're not going to neglect the quality levels. We're keeping them up too. Great songs and great bands. All for the very reasonable door price of £3.

See the weekend off in style at Zoology.

    DEAD MODELS

Not much is known about Dead Models. Brought together by a mutual admiration for the passion, song writing styles and melodies of the 50's and 60's, the band recorded their first demo only days after their initial meeting. The band bonded over song writing and their shared experiences growing up around the bustling London music scene and just as quickly as they offered their demo online. The music bloggers kicked up a fuss and the band were approached by the legendary White Noise Records all the way in LA. Their beautiful harmonies and knack for writing summertime anthems clearly fit perfectly into the LA music scene.

Dead Models EP is released on White Noise Records in the UK, 2nd August 2010.

    Killed by Coyotes

    ANTLERED MAN

The expression "phoenix from the ashes" could be no more appropriately applied than to Antlered Man.
The fire which consumed that incarnation burns even more brightly now (with all four original Riots plus some interesting additions) and with their album due out imminently this is the perfect time to catch them.

"Some unholy hybrid of QOTSA and Akron/Family. Part rock, part folk, part otherworldly. Big riffs combine with whistling, flute, violin and shredded slide guitar. Beware World, a new behemoth strides out across the land." John Kennedy, Xfm.

    KILLED BY COYOTES

Holding firm to an almost old-fashioned pursuit of beauty, spirituality and hope through music rather than the Holy Grail of 'making it' in the music industry, Killed by Coyotes may yet discover that the two are not mutually exclusive.
Proud will provide an appropriate backdrop to their velveteen melodies.

SOUNDS LIKE MISCHIEFCall Me Animal, The Bluesmiths Band, A Stranger In Moscow, Arcady Bliss19:30PM - 01:30AM

    SOUNDS LIKE MISCHIEF
LIVE MUSIC AND OTHER INTERESTING CONCEPTS

The Art House group and The Academy of Contemporary music bring you live music, foolery, and the Mischief Market featuring art, fashion and anything else you may want to spontaneously purchase.
This month Sounds Like Mischief moves to the main stage at Proud.  After a super successful launch in July the August event promises to be bigger, better and generally more mischievous!
In collaborating with the Stables Market, the introduction of the Mischief Market will see the horse stables transformed into a pop up walkway of independent exhibitions and stalls - bound to cause a stir.

    On stage this Month:
    Call Me Animal - www.myspace.com/cmaband
Call me animal are rapidly becoming one of London's most nattered about bands. With an 'If it's not rock, it's not on' attitude towards their music they have every reason to be spoke about. They've seriously been smashing the London scene all over town from Brick Lane street gigs to World cup opening parties. With super catchy hooks and plenty of chants throughout their music for punters to get off their toes and into the air too. You'd be a fool to miss em.

    The Bluesmiths Band - www.myspace.com/thebluesmithsband
The Bluesmith's Band has under gone a number of changes to get where it is now. Originally started off as a blues jam band trio, the band has now transformed into a five piece monster. At heart the music is essentially rooted strongly in the blues however the band incorporate a classic feel of organic soul and experimentation with Rock and Electro into the equation to give their music that fresh modern unique edge.
The band itself over the last 2 years has been fortunate enough to have gigged in some of London's most prestigious venues such as Jazz Café, Shoreditch House, The Marquee Club, The Cobden Club, The Pigalle, Barfly, Grand Clapham Hall, The Lexington and many more and continues to spread the infectious vibes of their trade

    A Stranger In Moscow - www.myspace.com/astrangerinmoscow
A Stranger In Moscow fuse post-hardcore guitars and progressive arrangements with layers of synths, samples and soaring hooks. The Guildford based quartet have created a sound that is unmistakably 'the now' whilst craftily referencing the last three decades of guitar pop.

    Arcady Bliss- www.myspace.com/arcadybliss
In a world where the airwaves, TV and computer screens are crammed with glitzy, vacuous faux-pop Arcady Bliss offer the alternative of hand-crafted songs with heart and soul.

    REESE"S PIECES Kill Van Kulls | Thai Matic | Joyous Kaput | Deville19:30PM - 01:30AM

In 1986 a man by the name of "Kevin 'Reese' Saunderson" came out with a tune called 'Just Another Chance'. This was the birth of the 'Reese' bassline.

Subsequent smashers such as Ray Keith's Terrorist (1994) soon followed and since then, the history of the reese has essentially been one of "bigger, louder, nastier". The reese sound gave rise to the creation of new and powerful synths and rythms we hear today across the genre's from House, Electro, Hip Hop and even Pop music.

REESE'S PIECES is the continuation of this ethos which started way back. We aim to bring you a mix of the best live bands and the sickest DJ sets to get you in that 'dance your ass off' vibe. The brain child of UK DJ/ Producers Eriki-Ma (DJ Chef & D-Boi) we are lucky enough to be able to set up shop at the prestigious Proud Camden (go figure) and we aint leaving till the fat lady sings.

MAKE THE GIRL DANCE - With France known for its pioneering culture in electro, MTGD are the next Paris based DJ duo instalment led by the ever so daring Pierre Mathieu & Greg Kozo. These guys have well raised the bar for there 'must-watched' music videos. Their first single 'Baby Baby Baby' has 3 hot chicks walking around in the centre of Paris...naked. Now you're interested?! It's as sexy has their music itself. Now with their new single, 'Kill Me', they ask what you would do if you had $30,000 and only 8 days to live? Life is for living. Live life at Reese's Pieces and check them out live on stage!

THE KILL VAN KULLS - The first I ever heard from these guys was their 'Wooden Heart'. I loved it and new that if I ever got my ass into gear and started REESE'S PIECES I had to have them before they were unbookable. Ladies and gentlemen, this one is worth turning up in your droves for.

THAI MATIC - UK Hip Hop is about to get s shake up cause this UK rapper is not for the faint hearted! Perfecting his talent for 10 years with two mix-tapes under his belt, Thai Matic's delivery is arrhythmical packed with clever punch-lines, and full of character. As a rapper from the heart, his music evokes good feeling, and oozes style and charisma. His ability can stand up against the best of them. Watch this space!

    http://www.myspace.com/thaimaticmusic

JOYOUS KAPUT - So you like the Arctic Monkeys? How about blending pop rock with the voice of Kaiser Chiefs? Then you've probably got the next best band in UK for sure! Joyous Kaput are the band of the moment and sharing the stage with Bloc Party, Bombay Bicycle Club and Pull Tiger Tail among others, this dynamic trio have it in the bag to push the boundries in British music.

    http://www.myspace.com/joyouskaput

DeVille - Its not often you find a band with a female on bass and this is by no means a gimmick. DeVille (by their own admission) write pop songs for fun (80's, bleeps and blips, indie, pop, rock, electro). Wow doesn't even cover it, and the annoying thing for some may be that they do it so well. What a great way to get into that party mood. Truss we will be having then again and again, but be there for the first of many.

As a rapper from the heart, his music evokes good feeling, and oozes style and charisma. His ability can stand up against the best of them. Watch this space!

Jamie Burke is a rock star waiting to happen. Criminal Records present.... HARAJUKU! Londons most notorious Japanese themed club night19:30PM - 01:30AM

HARAJUKU! returns by popular demand when Criminal Records presents the Harajuku! Autumn Ball at Proud Gallery, Camden on Tuesday 24th August. As the latest instalment of Londons most notorious Japanese themed club night, the event features seven different themed rooms, hosting celebrating every Japanese wonder from Geishas, Lolitas, Balloons, Comics, Gaming, Origami, Karaoke, Manga, Art and a mix of Live Bands, Indie Music and JPOP.

Harajuku! fashion is all about celebrating a love of Japan, being creative and mixing together different styles and influences, and has proved to be incredibly popular internationally. The fashion element is also a potent theme with the event fast becoming a key stop for a number of the freshest London designers. Party goers mix together different styles and influences and the competition for the best dressed character is fierce. Some characters dress up as idols from Anime, Movie while others focus on the looks of Gothica or Lolita.

The event has already gained a reputation with gaming communities as a great place to meet, socialise and play. At the new location, Harajuku! will be an even better experience as the night will benefit from its own Gaming Zones. Camden gamers will be able to choose from the large variety of PS3 and Wii games to play on the large screen including Xbox Rock Band, or bring their own handheld consoles to play in their own private area.

Manga aficionados will also have their own zone in one of themed ex-horse hospital stables, with screenings of Manga and Animee all night. Other themed zones include the BYODJ, featuring a bring your own MP3 player listening party, to share the best recommendations of Jpop with others and get new tips. This is not to mention the Karaoke Zone where attendees can party in true Japanese style!

Theres plenty more going too, including some fantastic music from some of the hottest bands around. Featuring performances from:

THE KUT, an all female dark indie rock band, who have been making waves in the UK and beyond. Being dubbed 'the next big thing' The Kut are currently in the studio recording their debut album 'Lies My Mother Told Me' for release late this year. Expect sultry vocals, kick ass guitar solos, strong songs and powerful melodies. Rave reviews all round make The Kut a must see band in 2010. myspace.com

CAPELLE, a hard rocking force which combines over-driven '60s inspired Rock with tinges of Electro and Hip Hop, creating a mixture that will get melodists and headbangers all united in one big party. myspace.com

MATANIU, an 8-piece experimental combo which showcases an amazing variety of sounds and influences that create the perfect backing for the unique songwriting and amazing vocal abilities of singing goddess Mataniu. myspace.com

IRAQ, a female fronted indie pop band, with hints of Morrisey and charming 80's swagger. myspace.com

FUZZ VALENTINE, a three piece fuzz infected indie band from London, who combine boyish wonder with skittish pop music. myspace.com

Plus Indie, Beats and Jpop from Criminal Records DJs.

What are you waiting for escape to Japan! Come and see what its all about!

On 25th August Who's Jack holds the second of it's live embodiment nights that see the pages from the August issue come alive at Proud. After an enormously successful launch in association with Puma last month it's time for the second installment.

Already picking up interest from music and lifestyle blogs and online TV stations such as SB TV the Jack Comes Alive nights are sure to become a mainstay for the capitals young, stylish creative and all that's in between.

This August sees current Radio 1 favourite, Example, the multi-record-releasing David E Sugar, ones to watch Montage Populaire and soon to be a sensation Russ Chimes all held together by DJ sets from Sunta (Xfm) and Will Smith and Mikil Paine.

But Jack Comes Alive is about more that just the music, guests will have a bevy of entertainment all relating to the pages of our August issue from goody bags for the first 15 people through the door, a slash fiction dress up box, a re-creation of an old wardrobe from Georgie and James, not to mention our very own carnival processions, steel bands and Jockey Underwear catwalk show. • Geek Out!Allo Darlin' and Darren Hayman LIVE19:30PM - 01:30AM

The evenings will be a move away from indie and the music will contain elements of folk, electro and pop providing the soundtrack to the night.

The venue will be subject to full decorations; anticipate a dark circus theme, with a gypsy caravan, flame throwers, a carousel seating area, intriguing performers, hanging lanterns, psychedelic and beguiling dancers- all led by our own motley crew of ring-masters.

In the South Gallery there will be a compelling mixture of electro-fuelled party anthems from All Night Long DJ's Ben & Gaz playing the best tracks of yester-year to keep everyone on the dance floor. Think big hair and big hits spanning the last four decades from the likes of Madonna, Starship, Kenny Loggins to name but a few!

Be presents.. Higamos Hogamos, Muchuu, Victoria & Jacob, Jamie C90 (DJ set)19:30PM - 02:30AM

Now in its third year Be at Proud redefined London's club scene with its unique mix of indie, disco, electro and rock n' roll, spectacular live acts, performance art and burlesque. From Mystery Jets to Friendly Fires, Au Revoir Simone to Ebony Bones, Be has showcased many of the most exciting new bands around today, and seen the likes of New Young Pony Club, Annie, Munk, Disco Bloodbath and Rory Phillips all take turns on the decks.

    What The Papers Say:
'a carefree carnival atmosphere'  Time Out
'BE is clearly getting a lot of things right' Time Out
'Multiple genres, beautiful people, live perambulating performers too!' Lecool.com
'sophisticated, cutting edge and consistently excellent' Spoonfed.co.uk
    'always fantastic' London Lite
'momentous gigs crossed with a reason to get dressed up are what we live for' Time Out

    Special guests playing this week:

    HIGAMOS HOGAMOS
Formed by Steve Webster (formerly of Fort Lauderdale and The Black Neon) in 2008 with a view to make open minded musical mayhem incorporating rock n roll, electronic experimentation, Kosmische, psychedelia and a chance to collaborate with musician friends. The incendiary guitar playing of Toby Jenkins (Fort Lauderdale / Squire of Somerton) features heavily on the much-lauded debut,... released by DC Recordings in 2009. The abstract funk of forthcoming album Atomized features some mind blowing guitar work by new collaborator Andrew Robertson (Truck). Dr Robertson has also enabled the distinctive Higamos wall of analogue electronic sound to enter the live arena in his development of boutique software 'B-Keeper.' An unholy meeting between The Black Neon and The Squire Of Somerton. Krautrocking, otherworldly, sleazoid pop.
    http://www.myspace.com/higamoshogamos

    VICTORIA & JACOB
Victoria & Jacob are an Electronic Indie duo from London. Their warm lo-fi sound encapsulates organic samples, beeps, blips and beats, garnering them comparisons with the likes of The Postal Service, Bjork and Imogen Heap. They've released two EP's themselves and a single with Voga Parochia Records, winning praise from the NME, Artrocker and across the web, and establishing themselves as quirky pop innovators in the process. They've had tracks featured by Steve Lamacq, Jon Hillcock and Tom Robinson and have been featured and interviewed on a number of shows in Europe. They've shared the stage with The Mystery Jets, Jeremy Warmsley, Active Child and Stornoway amongst others.
    http://www.myspace.com/victoriaandjacob

    JAMIE C90 (DJ SET)
Forming over a mutual appreciation of handclaps, cowbells and vocoders, Master Paterson and Monsieur Ashenden are The C90s. The London lads are easier described with the use of finger paintings, bright colours and made up words. In their short time together they have gained credit for their remixes of Late Of The Pier, Headman, tape to tape, Tronik Youth and most recently Roisin Murphy and Flight Facilities. In 2009, MixMag labeled The C90s remix of Filthy Dukes 'Remix of the Month' and also listed the instrumental version of 10:01 and their remix of Headman's "Dirt" on their 'Must Haves'. These remixes along with the new single have featured on compilations, DJ charts and have even scored a 'Top 10 of 2009′ from some bloggers. 2010 will see the release of their debut single '10:01′, on Relish Recordings, followed by an assortment of new material. Tonight, Jamie shows us what makes him get up and dance. Stay close.

Bank Holiday Sunday the 29thPatch William, Juan Zelada, Brendan Picchio + 4am close!19:30PM - 04:00AM

With previous bank holiday bills hosting the likes of Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Ed Hardcore, Daisy Dares You and Kassidy, Proud's Big Bank Holiday returns for its final event of the year. Sunday 29th August sees the climax of the the 3-day extravaganza, with Proud opening its doors until 4am to accommodate live performances from Patch William and Juan Zelada and DJ sets from the likes of Howling Bells' and The Dixon Brothers.

    Patch William
    http://www.myspace.com/patchwilliam
Patch William are a London based four-piece, recently nominated for this year's Ivor Novello award. Since their first gig at Bristol University in the summer of 2007, the band's unique and crafted sound has won them much critical acclaim. As fan Stephen Fry suggested on his twitter page, "Might Patch William be the next big thing? They seem rather wonderful to me." Andrew Harrison of The Word wrote "The middle of a venn diagram composed of Nick Drake, Jamie T, Jimi Hendrix, and Talking Heads would be an odd place but this is where you find youthful London four-piece Patch William. The sound is spare but the melodies dreamy, and the performances assured".
Set to release their debut, eponymously titled album, the band have moved from strength to strength playing regular gigs in London, a filmed Maida Vale session for BBC Introducing and with increasing radio play for the likes XFM, Radio 2, Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music... these guys are the ones to watch.

    Juan Zelada
    http://www.myspace.com/zeladaband

Juan Zelada is a folk-rock singer-songwriter and reputed session musician. An accomplished piano and guitar player, Juan's songs are deeply influenced by his varied tastes, ranging from jazz greats such as Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea or Pat Metheny to pop figures like Paul Simon, Dave Matthews or Ben Folds Five. Juan is truly a global artist and his music reflects this cultural and linguistic diversity. Truly a joy to behold...

Brendan Picchio from Howling Bells' and taking us through till 4am, we have Camdens biggest and best Carnival after party in The Dixon Brothers and Bruce Wayne Show featuring some simultaneous 4 deck madness.
