THE SAVAGE NOMADS are hotly-tipped-for-2012, having released
their debut
album 'Coloured Clutter' late last year to rapturous praise across
the
board. Boasting more youthful exuberance, hope and naivety than
almost
seems bearable, The Savage Nomads have already been hailed as
saviours of
contemporary music by many in a position to know.
Mick Jones of The Clash, luminary DJ Don Letts and Gavin Martin
at The
Daily Mirror have all vocally offered their support and the band
have
garnered supportive reviews in Music Week, The Independent and Mojo
as
well as a rapidly-building online buzz. The aforementioned Mick
Jones even
had the band play some of their first-ever shows, when they were
only mid
way through their teens, at his Carbon Casino events in London.
This
fruitful and supportive relationship has continued - seeing the
band play
Shepherd's Bush Empire and Scala with Jones.
"This year's best debut album from a British band"
-ARTROCKER MAGAZINE
"The country's most un-English sounding band, singer Cole
channels his
inner David Byrne, but musically they hone everything from At The
Drive-In
to The Libertines"
-NME
"Intensely tight, incandescent songs with spiritual and
political clout.
Think Rage Against The Machine meets Love with Television-like
levels of
musicality"
-THE DAILY MIRROR
"the first thing that strikes you about The Savage Nomad's new
single
'What the Angel Said' is the sheer energetic rawness of it all.
Jesus,
this song packs a punch."

Signed to Gary Powell's (Libertines/Dirty Pretty Things) label
'25 Hour
Convenience Store', and with their current single 'Karma'
recently
reaching in the top 50 in the iTunes alternative chart, you really
don't
want to miss IC1s. They were recently selected to headline HMV's
'Next Big
Thing' in London.
Their stage prowess is hardly surprising really, considering
they've
played with acts such as The Cribs, Tinie Tempah, Proud Mary,
The
Charlatans, Buzzcocks, Twisted Wheel, Tim Burgess, Calvin Harris
and Ocean
Colour Scene. With the backing of the likes of Alan McGee, IC1s are
the
ones to watch.
"If you go see a new band, go and see IC1s. They're brilliant
and are
post-everything."
- ALAN MCGEE
"A proper, no-messing-around rock n roll band."
- NME
"They're a little bit Libertines, a little bit Ramones, but
they're
certainly 100% London. 'Whack Jack' must surely serve as a
stomping,
unifying crowd-pleaser. The chorus comes out of precisely nowhere
and is
the sort of thing the word 'tasty' was invented for."
